ELB Quality and Precision
ELB America, Inc. is the importer and daughter company of ELB-Schliff Werkzeugmaschinen, GmbH serving the United States, Canada and Mexico. Established in 1982, ELB America has been providing new machine sales, product support and spare parts sales to its customers in North America.
For over 50 years, our factory in Babenhausen, Germany, ELB-Schliff Werkzeugmaschinen GmbH has been producing "State of the Art" surface and profile grinding machines. Today's product line is comprised of a wide variety of conventional surface and creep-feed grinders, work-piece specific customized and specialized grinding machinery. The company was founded by Edmund Lang in Babenhausen, which gave rise to the name ELB-SCHLIFF.
The manufacturing program today includes high-precision surface, profile and creep feed grinding machines as well as highly productive production systems. Based on decades of experience of ELB-SCHLIFF, there is scarcely a task involving grinding that we have not already solved.
Structured solutions
A number of differently structured machine modules are available as solutions for the grinding tasks of our customers. For surface grinding applications we consequently follow the concept of separated axis movements which provide a clear separation of the main axes X, Y and Z. This is an essential prerequisite for sustained high precision.
For plunge and creep feed grinding operations we offer machines that can be configured as travelling table or travelling column machines. For large workpieces we propose gantry type designs to achieve and guarantee highest precision.

In the past ELB-SCHLIFF took a major part in the development and introduction of numerous innovative grinding procedures. Today our experienced technology and application engineers ensure the continued development of existing grinding technologies.
