Micro-Cut - Productive Creep Feed Grinding
The Micro-Cut series were specifically developed for the requirements of profile and creep feed grinding. All axes are equipped with linear guideways and ball screws. The sturdy construction of the machines guarantees excellent precision even when working with high feed and stock removal rates.

The Micro-Cut B, C, D machines are designed as travelling table machines and can handle workpieces up to a width of 750 mm and a length of 2000 mm.
| Micro-Cut | B | C | D | |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Grinding Width | mm | 400 | 600 | 750 |
| Grinding Length | mm | 600/1000/1500/2000 | 1000/1500/2000 | |
| Grinding Height | mm | 400 (+200) | 600 | |
| Spindle Drive | kW | 20 | 40 | 60 |
| Spindle Cone | mm | 75 | 90 | 140 |
| Wheel Dimensions | mm | 400x100x127 | 500x100x203.2 | 600x150x304.8 |
All machines of the Micro-Cut series can be equipped with wheel head mounted diamond roll dressing devices in addition to table mounted dressing systems. This means that both continuous dressing (CD) as well as intermittent dressing strategies can be implemented. When using indexing units or rotary tables with 2 NC axes, the machines of the Micro-Cut series become 4 or 5 axes grinding centers.
Advantages at a glance:
+ Sturdy design and construction
+ High spindle power
+ Wheel head mounted diamond roll dressers
+ Flexible process execution
+ 4 or 5 grinding axes
Machines of the Micro-Cut 4 series are designed as travelling column machines and thus only require a small amount of floor space. Therefore, this series becomes especially suited for use in production cells. The fixed machine table allows the integration of complex clamping devices. Due to the intelligent machine design, the Micro-Cut 4 can be supplied in various highly productive versions.

With the Micro-Cut 4 RT, the workpiece is clamped on an index table which has multiple clamping stations. This allows for workpieces to be loaded and unloaded while grinding resulting in very high output rates.
| Micro-Cut 4 | 250 | 250-S | 320 | 520 | |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Grinding Width | mm | 300 | 300 | 400 | 600 |
| Grinding Length | mm | 400 | 400 | 700 | 700 |
| Grinding Height | mm | 475 | 400 (+200) | 400 (+200) | 400 (+200) |
| Spindle Drive | kW | 9 | 20 | 28 | |
| Spindle Cone | mm | 36 | 75 | 90 | |
| Wheel Dimensions | mm | 300x50x76.2 | 400x100x127 | 500x100x203.2 | |
The Micro-Cut 4 DS has two wheel heads arranged one above the other. This provides a solution so the workpieces can be simultaneously machined on two sides in one pass. This layout not only guarantees the highest possible level of productivity but also the very best precision.
Machines of the Micro-Cut series are equipped with the Siemens 840D. Proven ELB cycles are available for most applications.
Advantages at a glance:
+ Reduced floor space
+ Ideal for production cells
+ Maximum productivity
+ Available with rotary indexer
+ Available with dual spindles
