ELB grinding machines are available in many sizes and variations. The specific configuration and size depends on the workpiece and the grinding requirements and can be optimized to meet the needs of our customers.
In every ELB Machine the infeed axis (Y-axis) is equipped with pre-loaded linear guideways.

Hydraulic cylinder Table drive via fixed piston rod and travelling cylinder. Especially suitable for reciprocation grinding and to achieve the best possible surface finish. |

Linear guideways Linear guideways with pre-loaded roller shoes. Especially suitable for all creep feed and profile grinding processes as well as for applications involving axis interpolations. Also available in UP version (UP = Ultra Precision) |

Ball screw drive Table drive via a directly driven ball screw. Especially suitable for all creep feed and profile grinding processes as well as for applications involving axis interpolations. |

V-/flat guideways Coated guideways with hydrodynamic lubrication. Especially suitable for reciprocating grinding and to achieve the best possible surface finish. |

Timing belt Table drive by means of a timing belt and servomotor. Especially suitable for high table speeds combined with a short grinding length = speed stroke grinding. |
